Sustainability Department

Mission

There is now a global climate science consensus to consider a 1.5°C warming before the end of this  century as a planetary boundary that humanity must strive not to exceed. To achieve this,  governments, cities, citizens and companies must join forces all around the world to contribute to  massively reduce CO2 emissions, halving them by 2030 from 2010 levels, and reaching the goal  around 2050. By joining the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) in 2015, L’Oréal was among the 100  first companies to set decarbonation pathway compliant with climate science. Climate science being  evolving, we need to adapt our current decarbonization strategy and realign our decarbonization  roadmaps with last climate science recommendations. Also, from financial perspective, articulate  Financial & Extra Financial (EF) linkage & performance, prioritize & secure financial investment  (CAPEX/SPEND) for maximum impact will be super important to foster & monitor the actual output  of our sustainability engagement.

Qualifications

Job Scope:

  • Data collection, processing, and analysis
  • Project database maintenance
  • Communicate with project stakeholders to solicit their profiles, organize meetings
  • Participate in project interviews to take notes and assess potential opportunities/tasks
  • Research and summarize latest market trends and practices, identify innovative practice to reach  & impact relevant and high quality tasks
  • Administrative support (daily project operation process/document preparation, meeting room  arrangement, etc.)
  • Others assigned by line manager

Skills:

  • Language: Mandarin (fluent verbal/written) & English (fluent verbal/written)
  • Education/Experience (preferred): climate/environmental/sustainability science/technology or  big data/mathematics/financial related
  • Common data processing and analytical skills using excel a must
  • Financial knowledge

Requirements:

  • Ability and passion to learn new knowledges, business models
  • Organized, detail oriented and self-driven
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and intellectual curiosity
  • minimum 3 days/week for continuous 6 month internship
